As our  Repair Superintendent , you will successfully drive the repair business operations for your territory while working in collaboration with your customer and peers. Your mission is to promote a positive culture surrounded by accomplishing safety and quality goals to achieve customer satisfaction and profitable business results.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct workers (repair mechanics, helpers, and repair crews) concerned with elevator and escalator repair projects.

  • Supervise work performance and manpower qualifications to keep performance time, travel time and expenses to a minimum. Keep actual costs within pre-calc labor and material estimates.

  • Review material orders. Minimize overnight shipments.

  • Ensure that mechanics comply with reporting procedures (proper time reporting, assignment of labor and expenses to correct job number, service ticket transmittal, on-site customer check-in and check-out).

  • Communicate with customers directly and service department personnel to coordinate job scheduling and re-scheduling of missed appointments.

  • Conduct repair meetings once a month with the Service Manager.

  • Ensure all time tickets are accurate. Check and approve all repair time tickets and invoices for vendor’s materials.

  • Maintain accurate record of scheduled repair work. Utilize best business practices to prioritize and schedule future repair projects based on customer needs, available resources, code compliance, impending fines or penalties, passenger safety, and contractual obligations.

  • Follow up any work performed to correct written violations or deficiency lists with written notification to the proper party / authorities that work is complete.

  • Check Service and Work Orders and final processing of completion notices to insure that all time, purchase orders, and material orders are posted before approving for billing or closing out non-billable work.

You will bring 5+ years of relevant maintenance expertise as well as supervisory experience ideally leading a union represented workforce to our KONE family and an appetite for learning an exciting and new field. You will use the knowledge gained when obtaining your associates’ degree in a related field or additional years of experience.

Budgeted Salary Range: $123,000 ----- $140,000
