The noise level in the work environment is frequently very loud Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for leading the Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives. He/she will provide leadership, planning, technical direction, communication, and coaching skills to ensure safe production of high-quality products to meet customer needs in the most cost-effective manner. He/she is responsible for analyzing current business processes, recommending improvements, and implementing new operational efficiency initiatives.They drive the development and implementation of Lean methodology to enhance performance and reduce costs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position. Plans, directs, and manages department activities to enhance achievement of continuous improvement goals, policies, priorities, and procedures. Creates and maintains a culture of continuous improvement by training, educating, and influencing all levels of management and serving as facilitator and champion for process improvement across the Company. Provides strategic leadership and tactical planning in multiple, complex, high-visibility process improvement projects. Oversee and direct all continuous improvement events aimed at obtaining sustainment. Oversee the study of production and office processes to recommend suggestions for improvement. Oversee the collection of quality and/or production data. Ability to study substantial amounts of data for analysis. Collaborate with IT to streamline data collection for enhanced data analysis. Collaborate within the Quality department to ensure company remains ISO 9001 certified. Ability to lead and/or contribute to an internal audit. Work environment will include an equal mix between time spent on floor and office. Ability to work independently, in a small group, and with other departments across the facility. Well versed in MS Office, Minitab, MS SQL Server Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises, coaches, develops, and mentors' subordinates (1 to 3 CI Engineers).
