Taking direction from the Executive Director of PRAx/Associate Vice Provost of Arts and Humanities, from the Director of Humanities Initiatives, and from the Director of Marketing Innovations ( URM ) (who manages most of the day-to-day work), this position has overall responsibility for the ways in which all the entities in the program present to the public. The Marketing and Communications Specialist has equal responsibility for building the PRAx brand, for strategic data management, and for conceptualizing/implementing communications on the website, social media, and emails, as well as in print materials. The position works equally with backend data sources, public-facing marketing and communications, and directly with the public.
This role is ideal for a creative thinker who knows how to meet audience needs and bring a brand to life. PRAx is a place that we want people to feel, not just know about.
The College of Liberal Arts is a community that includes and values the voices of all people. As such, we recognize the social barriers that have systematically marginalized and excluded people and communities based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, socioeconomic background, age, disability, national origin and religion. We are committed to the equity of opportunities, and strive to promote and advance diverse communities. We value and proactively seek genuine participation from these historically under-represented and underserved groups, and recognize them as an essential component of creating a welcoming and rich academic, intellectual, and cultural environment for everyone.
