- Assist in planning and implementing the total instructional program.
- Cooperate with administration in identifying and solving problems.
- Demonstrate effective program strategies and techniques.
- Serve as an additional resource person as needed.
- Assess children in interpreting assessment instruments and utilizing results.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of staff development programs to fulfill perceived needs.
- Interact effectively with children to promote a positive self-image.
- Be under immediate supervision and directly responsible to the Program Director or designee.
- Performs both duties and functions in the best interest of th agency.
- Must assist with counts and serving meals.
Requirements
- Or experience of 2 yearsworking with children ages 17 months to 4 years in a quality development program.
- Age 18 due to insurance
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferable degree in Early Childhood Development or related field
- Must have the ability to design training material and work with children of all ages.
- Must obtain and maintain at least 26 hours of continuing education annually and must be willing to obtain degree or certification within two years of employment.
- Must maintain physical, TB test, current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's permits, at your own expense.
- Must maintain appropriate documentation on individual and group behavior.
- Lesson plans must be submitted monthly.
- A valid driver's license is preferred to drive as needed for center activities.
- Must clear a State Criminal Background Check and provide a negative COVID-19 screening, at your own expense.
