Why you should apply to be a Lab Technician:

• Pay rate : $20.00 per hour.

• Shift : 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

What’s a typical day as a Lab Technician? You’ll be:

• Performing numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas.

• Assisting with equipment calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.

• Cleaning glassware and test equipment.

• Assisting with preparing reagents as needed.

• Recording data on appropriate data sheets and reporting data to the LIMS system.

• Maintaining quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.

• Complying with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.

• Participating in cross-training as needed.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED preferred. Prefer successful completion of at least one semester of college-level chemistry and/or prior work experience in a laboratory environment.

• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in high production testing areas.

• Possess good math and observation skills.

• Demonstrate proficiency using LIMS applications and established chemistry lab processes.

• Demonstrate excellent team communication, coordination, and cooperation.

• Demonstrate the ability to follow standard and non-standard procedures.

• Demonstrate the ability to utilize non-complex and complex instrumentation.

• Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Are able to work overtime as business needs dictate.

• Have the ability to regularly lift/carry up to 44 pounds.

• Have the ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 49 pounds.

• Have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

• Have exposure to various chemicals.
