Position Title: Facilities Specialist
Reports To: Facilities Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: (A13) $35,439-$52,388
Function and Scope:
Ensure the Boards facilities infrastructure is operating within State and Federal guidelines. This work involves following preventative maintenance programs, maintaining a safe work environment, administering the Boards security policies and procedures. Collaborating with career center contractors to ensure employees are safe and facilities are maintained and secured.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; and seven years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Facilities:
Follow the direction of the Facilities Manager.
Maintain ticket system for staff and contractor facilities requests.
Perform the day-to-day maintenance plans required to ensure safety at all Board facilities and vehicles.
Assist in coordinating scheduled and emergency repairs through local maintenance vendors to ensure business continuity; conduct accessibility safety reviews.
Process and handle facility contractor requests in accordance with policy.
Assist with annual center level inventory.
Security/Emergency Management:
Assists in providing data for the Boards emergency management and loss prevention policies and procedures.
Assists in handling incident and accident investigations at the contractor level.
Produces all Board and Contractor identification badges as needed and maintains database; assist in maintaining key logs and issuing keys;
Assist in security reviews of Board facilities;
Language Skills:
Able to use and comprehend the applicable software required to perform the functions of this position.
Mental Functions (other examples of mental functions include analytical, creativity and computation, etc.):
Minimal ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing in English.
Physical Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to medium weights of 50 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
Working Conditions:
Employee performs approximately 30% of the work outside.
Employee works with minimal direction and periodic supervision.
Equipment, Tools and Materials:
Employee utilizes the following electronic equipment: telephone, fax, copier, printer, calculator, overhead projector, laptop, smartphone, and applicable software.
Employee utilizes e-mail, interoffice mail, and U.S. mail to receive and send reports, regulations, guidelines, and other information necessary to perform the essential duties of this position.
