Job Title: Ammonia Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ammonia Technician to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on ammonia systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with ammonia refrigeration equipment and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on ammonia systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair ammonia systems.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and take readings on the system.

• Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience as an Ammonia Technician.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair ammonia systems.

• Proficiency in preventive maintenance and taking system readings.

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with refrigeration equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field of study to maintenance is a plus.

• Experience in food manufacturing or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is a huge plus.

• Willingness to grow into an ammonia technician role if currently a refrigeration or maintenance technician.

Work Environment

The facility is a food manufacturing plant where adherence to GMPs is required daily. The environment is refrigerated, and you will work on either the 1st shift (5am-5:30pm) or the 3rd shift (5pm-5am), averaging 48 hours per week over 5-6 days. Tools will be provided, both basic and specialty, but candidates may bring their own basic tools if preferred.
