Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Handler will be responsible for pulling materials for the production line based on a pick list, delivering raw materials to the appropriate production areas, and staging materials for production. This role requires operating a forklift for 50% of the time and manually pulling orders when not operating the forklift. The position also involves assisting with final products and moving them to the shipping area. Some data entry into the Glovia WMS system is required, with an upgrade to SAP expected next year. The candidate must be able to read and write in English and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Pull materials for the production line based on the pick list.

• Deliver raw materials to the proper production area.

• Stage materials for production or take them directly to the department that needs them.

• Operate a forklift for 50% of the time.

• Manually pull orders when not operating the forklift.

• Assist with final products and move them to the shipping area.

• Perform data entry into the Glovia WMS system.

• Read and write in English.

• Lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment includes tight spaces where forklifts will fit in aisles but with limited room to maneuver. The production sections may have different smells, ranging from sweet to spicy, so candidates should not be sensitive to various scents. The environment is not loud and contains raw materials throughout.
