Description

We are searching for a Controller to be based in Huntersville, North Carolina. This role is pivotal to the Accounting Department, overseeing all daily and monthly activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions and records. The Controller will also be responsible for leading and supporting the team, meeting reporting timelines, and maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions for multiple legal entities across diverse business models

• Maintain and update the organization’s cash flow forecast on a rolling basis

• Prepare quarterly income tax estimates as required

• Support the operations of the Accounting Team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Monthly Accounting Close

• Ensure timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information

• Manage financial audits to ensure they are conducted successfully and within the set timelines

• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures in line with the organization's goals

• Recommend improvements to systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary

• Identify opportunities to enhance the professional development of team members

• Use NetSuite and other relevant software to streamline and automate accounting processes.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of five years of experience in a Controller role or similar position.

• Extensive knowledge of accounting functions and procedures.

• Experience with budget processes, including planning and implementation.

• Ability to perform month-end close procedures accurately and in a timely manner.

• Proficiency in Treasury Management.

• Experience in preparing for and managing annual external audits.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for various accounting activities.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and industry standards.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
