As we implement our Digital First Supply Chain Strategy within Operations, we seek top talent to join the Construction Project Management team for Nike’s first UK omnichannel Distribution Centre (DC) planned to launch in 2026.

As the Construction Project Manager, you’ll lead the project team through the procurement, development and delivery phases of our major distribution and office campus to be developed in the UK. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in one of Nike’s most ambitious programs to date, from conceptual design through to implementation. The ambition is clear, build a groundbreaking omnichannel DC encompassing the best innovation, automation, and iconic design.

The role will mainly be based on site in the East Midlands, with occasional travel required to our main European Logistics Campus in Belgium.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager who can demonstrate a knowledgeable, robust, and reasonable approach to design, procurement and delivery, with both front-end design and contract administration experience.

The project has significant capital spend and you’ll operate closely with internal and external stakeholders to fully understand and deliver the ambitious design requirements. You’ll be responsible to the End User in delivering the project efficiently within budget and to time constraints. Working alongside internal client contacts, designers and external stakeholders, you’ll communicate effectively via an external management team, driving the program forward.

Using your detailed understanding of Construction Project Management techniques and methodologies, you’ll help to drive end to end deliverables across the various program streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage and take ownership of all aspects of the project, proactively engaging with the client, construction, and design team to provide an end-to-end seamless solution.

  • To prepare accurate reports that look forward and identify clear actions, recommendations, risk and opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively to address risks and avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records to allow you to quickly respond to issues arising.

  • Adopting a collegiate approach, trouble-shoot and proactively address challenges which may arise.

  • To manage the change, quality and information flow between all parties.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

Working as part of the Construction Project Management team and reporting to the Construction Director, you’ll form part of the newly established UK DC Project Team, responsible for driving forward the program from conceptual design to implementation and beyond. You’ll work closely with Program Leads and individual workstream Project Managers as well as broader Nike partners.

You’ll collaborate with Project Directors and Project Managers to satisfy program planning, milestones, risk/issue/opportunity and budget management, whilst building effective relationships with relevant contractors and subcontractors.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience in setting up and implementing robust Project Management processes.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.

  • A highly motivated mentality with the ability to work independently, diligently and with an eye for detail.

  • Experience in JCT Contract Administration.

  • The ability to produce formal reports and documentation, which clearly set out complex issues and recommendations.

  • Financial acumen relating to viability and cashflows.

  • Professional qualifications, ideally within Project Management, Construction, Engineering and/or Quantity Surveying are advantageous.

  • Chartered Status, such as RICS, CIOB, RIBA and/or ICE is beneficial.

  • APM affiliation is preferred (as secondary accreditation).
