Description
This role involves working on electrical design and schematics, testing electrical panels, and performing field installation and commissioning. The Electrical Technician is crucial for ensuring that all electrical systems are installed and functioning correctly, contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and interpret electrical design schematics.
- Test electrical panels by simulating I/O signals to ensure proper functionality.
- Execute field installation, wiring, startup, and commissioning tasks.
- Configure and set up field control devices.
- Collaborate with the in-house panel shop to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintain adherence to NFPA 70E and OSHA safety requirements.
Utilize AutoCAD for design and documentation purposes.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree in electrical trade or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and installation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Understanding of NFPA 70E and OSHA safety requirements.
Special Requirements:
- Familiarity with UL standards.
- Experience with PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems.
Knowledge of combustion or electric firing systems is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong technical skills in electrical design and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and field control device configuration.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and apply industry standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
