Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

We are looking for Procurement Consultants with a solid business mindset, and extensive experience with driving and executing sourcing projects. As our Procurement Consultant, you will drive and lead transformational sourcing projects for both direct and indirect spend categories spanning across our 4 category clusters: R&D, Manufacturing & Supply, Corporate Services, and Commercial Services, with the charter of engaging on breakthrough transformational sourcing efforts.

Your future team

The newly established Global Transformational Sourcing department is part of Corporate Procurement which is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Corporate Procurement is a global team consisting of around 40 people, working out of offices in Copenhagen, Chicago, and Krakow. We are skilled procurement professionals who deliver because we are committed to our mission, and because we want to succeed as a team. We have an informal way of collaborating, we believe everyone’s voice should be heard and understand the significant value of differing opinions, backgrounds, and personalities. We work individually as well as in teams where sparring and mutual support are key in the way we interact.

The role of our Procurement Consultants will be to develop and implement sourcing project strategies for multiple spend categories in conjunction with cross-functional project teams and Category Managers. To succeed, you will need to partner with your peers in Corporate Procurement and the Lundbeck Line of Business (LoB) globally, in order to maximize category value by employing the following levers: Sourcing & Price Management, Demand Management, Transformational Sourcing, Specification Harmonization, & Process Optimization, and much more.

What you bring to the team

As our Procurement Consultant you will join a team of 5, and we focus on the following qualifications:

  • Accredited Master’s Degree, preferably within Supply Chain/Procurement, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

  • 3-5 years of procurement experience, either from a consultancy role or as part of a professional procurement function.

  • Experience with driving sourcing projects and processes, hereunder RFPs, category strategy execution, and project management.

  • Experience with taking part in the close collaboration with internal key stakeholders to secure project and strategy alignment.

  • Comprehensive business partnering skills, ability to influence, emphatic mindset and a solid understanding of cultural differences and how these may impact your work.

  • Proactive approach with a good sense of self-leadership to drive impact.

  • Extensive written and oral communication in English.

  • Ability to analyze and utilize data (Excel), and present them to drive decisions (PowerPoint).
