Overview:
Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Scientist to join our dynamic Field Science team in our Copenhagen office. As part of Crop Health R&D, you will play a critical role in advancing our new biological products, nitrogen inhibitors, seed-applied products, and supporting the herbicide portfolio.
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible as Principal Biologist for flawless field trial execution conducted by R&D colleagues and/or external contractors: Understanding and writing of protocols, forecasting sample needs and organizing local shipments. Management of projects including planning of trials, organizing protocol review meetings, crop destruction after trial competition, agreements with external contractors, and tracking of payments.
Monitor official biology trials and leverage expertise to build biology dossiers to obtain approval for label claims for new actives and support re-registration activities ensuring that all products meet the latest regulatory standards and market needs.
Summarize trial data to provide actionable insights to enhance product performance and address farmer challenges.
Serve as R&D expert and technical focal point for specific products and crops in the assigned territory.
Collaborate across functions and within Local Product Concept Teams to provide scientific support and that drive innovation and product improvement.
Organize field tours by selecting appropriate and conclusive trials to support decision making in a regional/global trial program.
Represent Corteva Agriscience at relevant academic and government institutes, and in local and international industry associations such as IRAC/HRAC/FRAC, NORBARAG, Crop life Danmark, PBN.
Serve as local source of knowledge for new technological trends for example IPM programmes or digitalization of agriculture.
Provide input on the critical assessment and prioritization of technical needs and activities essential to the implementation of business strategy.
Qualifications:
Broad scientific and agronomic background with a strong culture of field research in conventional crop protection, biological and biostimulant products.
Familiar with Member State regulations for field research activities for product registration.
Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct field trials and build dossiers effectively.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into practical applications.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support diverse teams.
Leadership, initiative and proactivity, versatile individual who can solve practical problems in sometimes remote locations and is committed to a strong safety and stewardship culture.
Good management of Microsoft Office package. ARM knowledge would be appreciated.
Availability to travel nationally and internationally as per requirements of the role.
University degree – BSc. from faculty of agriculture, plant protection department (though MSc or PhD is preferred).
Good command of English, Danish language an advantage
Valid driving license.
