Overview  

Lutron is seeking a collaborative and driven Indirect Procurement Manager to drive cost savings, value, and efficiency for our software contracts within our indirect spend category. This position is based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA and reports to our Senior Director of Supply Chain. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and management of the software indirect spend category, collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels to foster strong supplier relationships, optimize procurement processes, and support the company's overall business strategy. Through your efforts, we will obtain a deeper understanding of stakeholder objectives while ensuring better alignment to business needs.

 

Responsibilities  

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy Development:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deeply understand their needs, provide strategic guidance, and ensure alignment with procurement objectives.
  • Work closely with category business leaders to gain insights into current and future business requirements, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
  • Cost Savings & Value Optimization:
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, driving Year-over-Year (YoY) savings while reporting monthly to the leadership team on progress.
  • Develop a comprehensive 3-year strategy for the Software Indirect Procurement Spend, focused on achieving optimal value, efficiency, and cost reductions.
  • Translate category strategies into actionable plans, ensuring successful execution and realization of savings.
  • Category Management & Contract Negotiation:
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers, establishing and executing negotiation strategies and tactics to drive favorable outcomes.
  • Ensure that supplier performance consistently meets Lutron's standards for quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Process Improvement & Procurement Efficiency:
  • Identify and implement process improvements within procurement operations to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and increase overall effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential risks to anticipate opportunities and challenges within the software contracts category.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking:
  • Track, report, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of category strategies and procurement activities.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all related degrees earned
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement and indirect spend category management -- preferable within software service contracts
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time
