Aerotek Lead Plumber (Per Diem) in Conway, South Carolina

Commercial Plumbers Needed!

Location of work: Florence, SC

Description

We are looking for multiple plumbers for a project in Florence at the new AESC jobsite, a new vehicle battery plant. Candidates must be able to lay out drawings, read blueprints, and grading ditches. The role involves leading a crew to rough in fittings, grade and install pipe in the ground, put up hangers, and rough in bathrooms, sanitary and processed waste in the ground. The primary material used will be PVC pipe (currently 12" installs). The work schedule is demanding, with a weekly rotating schedule of 6 days on consisting of 60-80 hour weeks and 4/5 day weeks of 45-55 hours. The expectation is to work lots of overtime until the project reaches a stable point. The typical workday is 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, but employees logged 55-75 hours last week. The company is based out of North Carolina, candidates have the option of going direct after 6 months. This is a 1-year project with potential for extension based on the new expansion. The Ideal Candidate Possesses:

  • A minimum of four years working around commercial and new construction plumbing projects. Those with residential experience are also encouraged to apply.

  • Have worked around PVC, CPVC, Copper, Black Iron and other various kinds and sizes of pipe.

  • The ability to work lots of overtime if the week requires.

  • Adhere to all safety measures and protocols.

Additional Information

  • Pay ranges from $27-$35/HR and more depending on experience, skills, capabilities and how you interview.
