The Legal Order Processor will be responsible for reviewing and processing garnishments, levies, and subpoenas. This role will work closely with legal counsel to ensure all legal documents are being processed correctly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research and processing of garnishments, levies, and subpoenas. This duty is performed daily, about 60% of the time.
2. Work with legal counsel to process served orders. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
3. Process manual monthly and daily service charges. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Process forced account closures. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
5. Submit monthly interest on lawyer trust accounts to applicable states. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time.
6. Answer account verification requests. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
7. Answer and assist branches regarding processing exceptions and other deposit related questions. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
8. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
9. Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly, about 20% of the time.
10. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few known variables in situations of a routine nature.
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Basic: 10-Key, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
