Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an experienced Scheduler to join our Patient Access team!

Shift: PT/Pool

Schedule: Rotating

Under the direction of the Regional Patient Access Call Center Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for timely and accurate appointment scheduling with expertise in scheduling protocols, registration, insurance requirements/verification, identification of accurate patient responsibility with notification to the patient for the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Region which includes Mercy Fitzgerald, Nazareth Hospital, St. Francis Wilmington and St. Mary Medical Center Langhorne.

Scheduler:

  • Is responsible for pre-registration, scheduling, electronically verifying insurance eligibility and accurately identifying patient financial responsibility.

  • Handles complex scheduled events, including high dollar testing, associated studies and those with study specific instructions.

  • Begins the overall patient experience and initiates the billing process for any services provided by the hospital.

  • Answers the phone in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Communicates professionally with physician offices and other departments in the hospital

  • Consistently makes an effort to exceed the needs of the patient

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma [Required]

  • 1-2 years' experience in a call center [Required]

  • Knowledge of up-front collections, insurance verification or pre-registration [Preferred]
