Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose the source of trouble. Dismantle machines and reassemble them if necessary. Replace broken and worn-out parts; order replacement parts if required. Make all necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation. Keep in good repair the building structures and equipment; repairing plumbing fixtures, motors, occasional painting or touching up structures or equipment. Repair, rebuild, or overhaul internal combustion engines including replacement of piston rings, bearing, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves, rebuilding carburetors, etc. Overhaul transmissions, repair fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems. Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of trouble in machines and mechanical equipment.

• Dismantle and reassemble machines as necessary.

• Replace broken and worn-out parts, and order replacement parts if needed.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The work environment can be dirty.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conley, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
