About the Role:
As a CBRE Utilities Mechanic, you will troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure in the Central Utilities Plant for a 24/7 pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. To accomplish this, the individual must be able to effectively respond and communicate to key customers/system owners and understand all aspects of equipment operation and maintenance.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
Troubleshoot problems as they occur on chillers, cooling towers, RO systems, steam boilers, hot water boilers, air compressors, fire riser rooms, life safety systems, and other equipment in the Central Utility Plant as required.
Troubleshooting could include but not limited to, maintaining and replacing valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
Execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and properly document in the client CMMS system.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain personal training plan at 100% to ensure compliance with all aspects of HS&E, Quality and Regulatory Agencies
Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
Utilities, maintenance and/or operations background with basic computer skills and CMMS experience would be beneficial.
Employee must be able to work in confined spaces, work on ladders/scaffolds, use PPE and lift 50 lbs.
Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
