Actalent Production Control Manager in Compton, California
Job Title: Production Control ManagerJob Description
Supporting plant production in tandem with the engineering team to ensure products meet the quality standards for our T1 aerospace clients. This role involves controlling and reporting on all areas of work order management, leading continuous improvement activities to drive efficiency, service level culture, and profitability. You will provide front-line process technical expertise and hands-on process assistance to the production team to drive continuous improvement and address opportunities and inefficiencies.
Responsibilities
Support plant production in collaboration with the engineering team to ensure product quality meets standards.
Control and report on all areas of work order management.
Lead site continuous improvement activities to drive efficiency, service level culture, and profitability.
Provide front-line process technical expertise and hands-on process assistance to the production team.
Engage in process engineering inquiries and deliverables to address opportunities and inefficiencies.
Decipher and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to plan and ensure timely material arrival for production.
Manage lead times and first article inspections.
Maintain quality control standards and processes.
Essential Skills
7-10 years of experience in a technical production control manager role, specifically in the aerospace sector.
Proficiency in production control, bill of material management, and quality management systems (QMS).
Experience with deciphering and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of lead times and first article inspections.
Quality control expertise.
Proficiency in SAP and quality control management (QCM).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in aerospace.
ERP/MRP software experience, especially when combined with an engineering background in production/process.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00
