Rural Resources Community Action Temporary/On-call Classroom/Kitchen Aide in Colville, Washington

::: {dir="auto"} Rural Resources Community Action is looking for a Temporary/On-call Classroom/Kitchen Aide for our Smart Start Learning Center in Colville, WA. This position is on-call for the summer months and may work up to 40 hours a week. This position is not benefits eligible. The learning center operates 6:45am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. Individual shift times will vary, working with multiple age groups of children (toddler, preschool, school-age). As a Classroom/Kitchen Aide, you will work under close supervision of education staff to assist in conducting the activities of the learning center, implementing trauma invested practices that support social-emotional learning and self-regulation in the classroom and be able to provide a safe environment that includes active supervision of children at all times. This position may also be responsible for food preparation and kitchen duties; housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance duties required. :::

::: {dir="auto"} A Classroom/Kitchen Aide will need the ability to interact with young children in a supportive, positive manner, demonstrate positive communication skills with children and adults, have a basic understanding of child development, and use a positive approach when directing and guiding children. :::

::: {dir="auto"} The hiring range for this role is $18.48-$19.99 per hour. The full salary range of $18.48-$30.77 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. As a full or part-time employee, after the successful completion of our six-month training period you may receive a 4% step increase and an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary thereafter (excludes temporary employees). Depending on full time or part time status, other benefits may include medical (three plan options), dental and vision insurance, vacation, a 403(B) and/or Roth IRA retirement savings plan with a company match of up to 6%, $12,000 life insurance policy (while employed with RRCA), Employee Assistance Program and other auxiliary insurance options. All employees, regardless of temporary, part-time or full-time status will receive sick leave. :::
