Vertiv Corporation Software Engineer (Rack PDU) in Columbus, Ohio

Job Summary The Software Engineer will work to support the Rack PDU line of business. Activities will primarily be focused on developing and maintaining software for the factory test of assembled Rack PDU products and component sub-assemblies (PCBA electronics), tools to support production and offering management, and global database storage and reporting of test data. The Software Engineer supports Global Rack Power Distribution business, and interacts with and supports Global design and test engineering and product offering and quality teams. Responsibilities: * Develop and update functional test software based on C# and .NET programming languages with SQL integration * Develop and update web applications for our product offering and quality teams based on .NET and JavaScript programming languages * Plan and communicate timelines and requirements for new software deployments to manufacturing facilities and contract manufacturers * Participates in sustaining activities for existing products including diagnosis and resolution of defects * Coordinate with engineering, marketing, management, and project leads to assure that product development priorities are completed to schedule and budget while ensuring quality and product performance requirements are met * Responsible for keeping excellent, organized project records and documentation * Product development activities include design and development, design reviews, documentation, product verification, coordination with quality assurance, and field validation Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering * 5+ years related experience * Proficient in C#, .NET, and SQL * Experience with Git, GitLab, Visual Studio, and SQL Server tools * Ability to utilize troubleshooting tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and logic analyzers is a plus * Strong written and contextual communication skills * Analytical and collaborative thinker with ability to problem solve complex and cross-functional technical issues * Up to 10% travel The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
