GovCIO QA Engineer in Columbus, Ohio
Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring a QA Engineer to support our newly awarded customer contract. This position will be fully remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
Conducts evaluation of software/systems activities including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation. Defines appropriate measures to ensure product quality. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software/system quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts. Reviews software/systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Provides or directs verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.
Develops, publishes, and implements test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications throughout the full lifecycle.
Develops automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data set.
Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing.
Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing.
Develops response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability related bug notifications.
Pro-actively investigates and finds potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly-developed code base.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)

- Clearance Required: Must have an active HUD Public Trust

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $75,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
