Job Description

As a SuitePeople Principal Consultant, you will implement these Payroll and HR features for NetSuite customers, providing tools to manage their most important asset: people.

  • SuitePeople Payroll is NetSuite’s payroll solution for paying employees and contractors in the United States. By seamlessly integrating time entry, attendance, and commission data into payroll, it eliminates manual importing/exporting and reconciliation processes. This streamlines workflows, reduces errors, and ensures timely payroll delivery.

  • SuitePeople HR empowers managers and HR professionals to streamline employee information, onboarding, performance management, promotions, and compensation changes within a unified suite.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document customer business requirements with attention to detail.

  • Configure NetSuite SuitePeople Payroll and HR software to align with customer workflows and objectives.

  • Analyze customer workflows and design innovative, optimized solutions to promote adoption of SuitePeople features.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, budget-conscious project delivery.

  • Architect solutions for business requirements, including complex configurations and technical integrations.

  • Define and document detailed functional requirements for automations and integrations within NetSuite.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to design, test, and deploy automations and integrations.

  • Perform quality reviews of deliverables to maintain high implementation standards.

  • Achieve or exceed defined billable utilization targets (e.g., 80%).

  • Continuously expand product knowledge and pursue relevant NetSuite certifications.

  • Mentor and guide junior SuitePeople consulting team members, providing insights into best practices and effective project execution.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in payroll and HR domain, implementing software solutions. Experience with NetSuite SuitePeople and/or NetSuite ERP Financials is a strong plus.

  • Extensive knowledge of payroll and HR processes, solutions, and integrations.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience communicating directly with customers, including issue resolution and escalation handling.

  • Accounting background is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.

  • Strong project leadership experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience defining requirements for complex customizations and integrations.

  • Ability to guide customers based on leading practices.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to various audiences effectively.

  • Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.

  • Relevant certifications preferred:

  • NetSuite ERP Consultant or SuitePeople certification.

  • HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).

  • Payroll certifications (e.g., Fundamental Payroll Certification, Certified Payroll Professional Certification).

  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $76,700 to $167,600 per annum.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
