Definition
This position will lead the Department's Asset & Performance Management program coordinating and overseeing activities relating to managing the City's physical Infrastructure including road pavements, traffic signals, traffic signs, sidewalks, etc. The position will utilize data and information as well as geospatial technologies to identify appropriate performance measures and targets to ensure that resources are invested that yield success. The position will design and implement a reporting strategy to ensure proper communication of performance targets, measures and outcomes at multiple levels within the Organization.
Under general direction, is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of performance measurement activities for a department; performs related duties as required.
Examples of Work

Leads the performance management process for a department including the design and implementation of performance management activities;
Oversees the development, maintenance, and tracking of performance measures for all programs;
Confirms, refines, or develops performance measures as needed; assists with the development of performance measures through group training or individual measures development sessions;
Ensures that all programs have a data collection and reporting capability;
Recommends operational solutions or alternatives based on performance metrics and best practices;
Utilizes performance software tool(s);
Provides consulting and leadership on current best practices in the field of performance management, and on how various functional elements of performance need to be integrated;
Synthesizes, refines, organizes and, in some cases, supplements existing data to facilitate their use by managers at all levels;
Leads, coaches, and develops performance management staff;
Oversees the preparation of reports for meetings; maintains records of work assignments and projects;
Prepares and oversees the analysis of data and the summarization of data for meetings and/or written reports.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a bachelor's degree and five (5) years of professional experience in organizational development, performance management, strategic planning, program development or evaluation, public or business administration, engineering project management,or other closely related field. Substitution(s): A master's degree in business administration, public administration or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
