1 OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Columbus, OH! As a Payroll Administrator you'll be a key member of the team responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls for 1,700+ associates. From answering daily inquiries and resolving complex situations including garnishments, child support orders, and external mail correspondence, you'll ensure our customers, our associates, receive prompt responses. The Payroll Administrator will report to our Sr Payroll Manager and work closely with our Payroll & HRIS Analyst. With a customer service focus and attention to detail, while focusing on process improvement, you'll help ensure a smooth payroll process. What You'll Do: Prepare, process and audit payroll on a weekly and biweekly basis (bonuses, commissions, time & attendance, new hires, garnishments, taxes, etc.). Provide daily correspondence with our associates regarding payroll related questions using our internal ticketing system. Review external US incoming HR mail. Interface with payroll vendor and monitor vendor's delivery on service level agreements. Facilitate payroll corrections/amendments as needed. Research and respond to any external audit requests. Audit payrolls to ensure accuracy, legislative compliance, and internal policy compliance. Complete all required tax set up in ADP for state, local and school district income taxes as needed and audit regularly. Create payroll reporting needed for EEO-1, Dept of Labor, and Affirmative Action reports. Prepare routine and ad hoc payroll reports for internal and external requests. Other projects as required. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred. Two plus (2+) years experience in payroll/related field, CPP designation a plus. Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll processing system. Multi-state and multi-location experience. In depth tax set up experience a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Problem solving ability, analytical approach to reconciling and attention to detail.
