The Technologist is responsible for preparation of the patient for testing and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of the test results. Responsibilities Following established Policies and Procedures the incumbent is responsible for performing various EP and EEG procedures on patients with possible neurologic injury and disease. Transcranial Magnetic StimulationEEG procedures include:1. Routine EEG2. Extended EEG3. Video EEG4. Extended Video EEG5. Half-day Video EEG6. Full-day Video EEG7. Portable EEG8. Portable Extended EEG9. 12 and 24-hour Video Telemetry EEG10. Extended Video Telemetry EEG11. Ambulatory EEG12. Ambulatory Video EEGSpecific tests may require the application of non-routine recording parameters. These tests may employ special recording techniques to record eye movements, muscle activity, ECG, chest wall movement, tongue movements, and nasal and oral air flow, among others. Testing may occasionally be necessary in the Intensive Care Units, Emergency Room, patient's room, or at the off-site locations, e.g. Shrock Road facility.List of Duties:? Having a complete understanding of each instrument and its controls, as well as a knowledge of basic electronics and troubleshooting techniques.?
