Network Engineer BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer for an opportunity in Columbus, OH! Position Title: Network Engineer Location: Columbus, OH Expected Duration: 12 months contract to hire. Pay Range: $49.53 - $52.73 Job Description: Job Title: Network Engineer Location: Columbus, OH 43240 Duration: 12 Months Contract to hire * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and security, with a focus on SD-WAN and SSE technologies. * Strong knowledge of SD-WAN solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet, Versa Networks). Versa experience is a plus. * Proficiency in SSE solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, etc.). * Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and security technologies (e.g., VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, SD-WAN Specialist, SSE Specialist) are a plus. Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations) Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management) Design (compliance, security) Network Engineering (planning, provision) Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology Advanced understanding of best practices and policies * Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget * Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms * Must be able to assemble technology solutions and effectively define and implement a working architecture * Technical certifications as required Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
