Responsibilities

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Duties:

• Start-Up Operations:

• Handles start-up of plant equipment each morning, including:

• Starting up the spiral freezer.

• Verifying all refrigeration systems are operational.

• Verifying all steam systems are operational.

• Equipment Adjustment and Troubleshooting:

• Adjusts production equipment as needed.

• Troubleshoots and resolves all equipment problems.

• Repair and Maintenance:

• Repairs electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission components of manufacturing equipment.

• Performs repairs on building structures and utility supply lines.

• Executes scheduled preventative maintenance functions.

• Makes independent decisions regarding the repair of plant machinery.

• Communication and Documentation:

• Informs the Maintenance Manager, Production Management, and Quality Assurance Management of all repair and maintenance actions.

• Records information on replacement parts used.

• Fills out parts requisition forms for ordering replacement parts.

• Responds to all work orders.

• Maintains maintenance logs, recording all work activities related to each line and piece of equipment.

• Performs other tasks as directed.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
