Legal Specialist - McKesson Health Systems Location: Irving, TX; Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; Richmond, VA (REQUIRED) Hybrid Role Current Need McKesson's well-regarded General Counsel Organization is seeking an experienced legal specialist to support the McKesson Health Systems (MHS) customer segment of McKesson's Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services business unit. McKesson's MHS segment helps provide drug distribution and related services to hospitals, health systems, integrated delivery networks, and specialty pharmacies through McKesson Corporation (US Pharma) and McKesson Plasma and Biologics LLC. This position requires a keen understanding of the ever-changing business, legal, and healthcare regulatory environment relevant to McKesson's distribution business. Position Description Primary Responsibilities: Draft and review pharmaceutical distribution agreements, including amendments, renewals, and terminations, and other contracts related to the McKesson Health Systems business. Consult on legal provisions within contracts, including identifying potential legal and business issues. Work with attorneys, key business stakeholders, and operational experts to resolve such issues. Actively participate in contract negotiations. Provide guidance on contracting standards. Identify risk, determine the level of risk, and develop contracting strategies to mitigate McKesson's exposure to this risk. Work with attorneys and other Legal Team members to review and update templates, including standard contract templates and amendment templates, as well as develop new templates. Help develop best practices for business units and Identify opportunities for process improvements, develop plans and manage implementation; and Serve as liaison with multiple business units and cross-functional groups. Minimum Requirements: 2-year Associates degree and/or Paralegal Certificate with 6+ years related work experience, or 4-year degree (preferred) with 2+ years related work experience Critical Skills: Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts Mastery of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point required Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with senior executives Excellent interpersonal skills and research skills Keen attention to detail Superior ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner Highly responsive, proactive, solutions-oriented approach Strong collaboration skills Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced team environment Thirst for learning Willingness to pitch in on special projects and ad hoc assignments, including research and contract review and drafting Additional Knowle
