Scope

• Client is needing us to help them achieve 100% network patching across their enterprise, as there is significant cost savings associated.

o Value: Reduced downtime, enhanced security, lower maintenance costs, improved performance

 Client departments are moving all the time (Nursing over here, cardio here, etc.)

o Premise for 100% Patching: every structure cable goes into every available port

o Buying an extra network ports will cost more up from but will have significant savings overtime

• Client has 300+ end users.

• Technician Tasks:

o Prior to installation: Unboxing/put in lab/load it onto a pallet and take it to site

o Installation: Survey first/unplug all patch cables/put in the switch cable/plug in

o Return: collect and return end of life equipment back to central location

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Complexity is broken down into low, medium, and high based on amount of reps, site location, site’s hours of operation (24/7 unit, etc.)

o Hard (24/7 = will cause an outage) called out to leadership, it will be more complex

• Training: team will work beside our team to shadow and then reverse shadow during the low complexity sites but the goal is to have our team up an running by the medium complexity sites so his team can focus on patch work, prep, loading the switches

• Two teams of techs and 1 network tech to start in January

• The additional 2 will come in late Jan/Feb and will be added to focus on unboxing equipment, inventory mgmt/tracking) during medium and high complexity work sites to free up our team members doing decommissioning and patching

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
