The DevOps Engineer for the DevOps Team will work as part of the larger team to aid in the deployment and management of code changes to ensure systems are up and running smoothly while ensuring minimal customer impact while helping to ensure consistency with company strategy and goals.

Detailed Description:

This role is an entry /junior level position that requires the individual to have the aptitude to learn and to participate in the technical delivery of complex and strategic projects while developing and maintaining a high level of expertise related to the technical enhancements, methodologies, and latest trends .

To be successful the candidate must be curious, driven , well-organized, and to possess strong learning abilities . They must be self-motivated , thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced e nvironment, and complete tasks o n agreed schedules. The t eam will look to this individual to assist in software releases on an on-going basis and help execute the tasks and activities of the broader team .

Primary Responsibilities :

• Aid team in supporting Huntington Enterprise Application Build and Deployments .

• Develop and maintain automation procedures to assist with end-user systems.

• Aid team in application packaging and deployment .  

• Actively communicate with users and team to provide technical support .  

• Schedule and facilitate meetings as needed .

  Job Requirements:

  Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year of programming experience with a b achelor’s degree or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience in lieu of participation in the Elevate Program

  Skills :

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills ; ability to communicate clearly and concisely .

• Strong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles and project lifecycles .

• Experience with any programming language .

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, Node JS/Typescript, and AWS Lambda .

• Experience working with Restful APIs .

• Experience with PowerShell (basic) Bash .

• Good understanding of basic operating systems .

• Experience with or a good understanding of Agile delivery .

• Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions .

• Excellent verbal and written communications; ability to explain project risks and issues , and technical concepts clearly and concisely .

• High motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills .

• Ability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all business and IT areas .

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment .

• High level of professionalism and confidence with the a bility to build credibility with team members and business partners .

  Preferred Requirements:

• A good understanding of project lifecycle methodologie s (e.g. , Waterfall , Iterative, Agile/Scrum ) and project management processes and standards .

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus .

• Ability to translate technology into relatable concepts for business partners .

• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery .

• Strong trouble-shooting skills .
