Job Title: Solutions Architect – Web and Mobile Platforms
Location: Remote (US Based & EST work Schedule)
Work Schedule: M-F
Contract Details: 6mo contract to hire
Pay Rate: $85hr

The Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering technology solutions that address critical business challenges and opportunities. This position requires a deep understanding of modern technology ecosystems, architecture patterns, and emerging trends. As a natural leader and collaborative team player, the Solutions Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into comprehensive technical architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices. You will focus on re-platforming efforts within web and mobile domains, utilizing their technical expertise and leadership skills to propose innovative solutions for mid to large-scale projects. This role involves creating detailed technical estimates, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and guiding the engineering team in implementing enterprise-level architectures.

The company is re-platforming to a new domain for mobile and web.
They are going to React / JavaScript / TypeScript from ASP.Net Webforms / C#
They are moving to React Native for their mobile technology.
Currently they have Android (Java) and iOS (Swift)
The IT Architect will be responsible for re-architecting the environment including Security, infrastructure, etc.
This position involves the architecture of many different mobility projects – some small and some large.
The person has to be flexible to be able to re-platform small and large and be a true Architect.
Technical knowledge is a must as the person will have to sometimes get down in the weeds and help the developers.
This is a replacement position. The person vacating the position was only interested in the Architecture piece and nothing else. They need a team player.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery:
Analyze and interpret business requirements to design solutions that address current and future needs.
Develop application, integration, and data architectures with an emphasis on scalability, security, and resilience.
Create technical documentation, including solution designs, technical estimates, and architectural blueprints.
Technical Leadership:
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders.
Lead technical discussions to ensure proposed solutions meet business objectives and align with enterprise architecture standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with business leaders and technical teams to understand pain points and provide viable solutions.
Act as a liaison between the engineering team and the Enterprise Architectural Standards Board to ensure compliance.
Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Architecture Standards & Best Practices:
Establish and enforce adherence to architectural standards, design patterns, and technology guidelines.
Proactively identify and address potential risks, ensuring high-quality, secure solutions.
Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends to enhance solution design and delivery.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or
Associate's degree in Computer Science with two years of architecture-related experience, or
High School Diploma/GED with four years of architecture-related experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in architecture or related fields.
Proven expertise in designing and delivering solutions for web and mobile platforms.
Strong track record of creating technical estimates and implementing enterprise-level architectures.
Technical Proficiency:
In-depth knowledge of architecture patterns, integration strategies, and application frameworks.
Familiarity with re-platforming projects and cloud-based technologies.
Proficiency in developing scalable and secure architectures for complex systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in a relevant technology domain (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF).
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Proficiency in navigating conflict management and driving consensus among stakeholders.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
