Job Summary
Strawser Construction Inc, subsidiaries of Barrett Industries, provide advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers’ needs. We are currently looking for aHuman Resources Coordinatorto manage the recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and maintaining compliance with relevant employment laws. This is a crucial role in managing human resources functions to ensure the smooth operation of our organization. This hourly position is a hybrid of working remotely and in office.
Main Responsibilities
Post jobs to appropriate job boards, trade schools, LinkedIn, social media and internal ATS
Source and recruit candidates through career fairs, social media and trade schools
Collaborate with other HR team members on recruitment and retention strategies
Business partner to hiring managers, fully understanding their needs and timelines
Phone screen applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
Data entry of new hires into HRIS
Maintain electronic personnel files
Main point of contact for HR related questions
Visit job sites and facilities during the construction season
Other administrative tasks to assist the overall HR function
Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources or related field is required
2 -3 years of experience preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Must be able to travel, including some overnights
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, detail oriented
Willing to have fun at work and creativity a plus
