JPMorgan Chase Home Lending Relationship Manager I in Columbus, Ohio

Bring your relationship management skills to the team. To bolster the Relationship Managers' strategy planning, this role will assist in gathering both Chase and Industry data to assist in the development of housing policy recommendations. Supporting the advocacy and housing policy reform efforts of the team.

The Relationship Manager-Junior's primary role is to support and assist Agency Relationship Managers in their advocacy and development of housing policies and reforms related to the FHA, VA, USDA and GNMA programs. Your support will allow the Relationship Managers to be more strategic.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the needs of Relationship Managers to bolster the firm's advocacy positions, strategic engagement, and influence with the government agencies and trade groups

  • Conduct research to compare industry leaders' and competitors' transaction trends. Compile performance analysis utilizing a variety of sources; scorecards, industry performance trends, etc. Explore and present growth opportunities based on a variety of sources; HMDA data, Agency published reports, trade group reports (MBA, HPC, etc.), government publications, research group reports (Urban Institute, Milken Institute, Corelogic, etc.)

  • Interpret data and trends to assist in developing housing policy recommendations

  • Create briefing documents to prepare Senior Leaders for engagements with the Agencies and the trade groups

  • Attend meetings to capture the top priorities and their details, including periodic meetings with Agency Relationship Managers to gain deeper knowledge of the issues

  • Examine and administer Agency scoring tools, working with Home Lending partners to address deficiencies

  • Assist in maintaining a strong control environment related to Agency policy, procedures, scoring tools, and external/internal communications

  • Develop and build relationships with internal partners and the trade groups to advocate for change through collaboration

  • Assist in capturing policy changes and preparing comparisons across the agencies in support of advocating for alignment

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of home lending experience

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word, competency with PitchPRO+ Able to work effectively under pressure and in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs

  • Acts with a sense of urgency

  • Proactive, strong attention to details.

  • Analytical & inquisitive with high standards for quality and accuracy

  • Highly collaborative with strong client/partner relationships and communication skills

  • Strategic thinker with ability to identify problems and recommend solutions in a thoughtful manner, with diplomacy and professionalism
