JPMorgan Chase Financial Analysis - Vice President - Branch Real Estate in Columbus, Ohio

Job Summary

The Real Estate finance team is responsible for the capital planning, financial modeling and investment analysis of the Consumer Banking Branch distribution network of over 4,900 branches. In addition, the group is responsible for over $2.4 billion in annual network distribution expenses, financial and program support of the company's New Build program and complete financial support to the Chief Administration Office functions within Consumer Banking.

As a Financial Analysis Vice President in Branch Real Estate Finance, you will be responsible for providing support for Consumer Bank Real Estate and Global Real Estate and other stakeholder teams. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the branch real estate business and financial principles to enable and assess channel performance as well as make recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute financial modeling for real estate related activities including new builds, relocations, consolidations, branch purchases, property redevelopments and dispositions, 1,200 actions annually with $1B in capital spend.

  • Manage and forecast the $60mm annual Branch Real Estate impairment budget.

  • Provide business management support for Consumer Bank Real Estate and Global Real Estate and other stakeholder teams including Consumer Bank Finance and Accounting, CB Treasury, and Model governance teams.

  • Conduct various financial ad-hoc analyses including Branch versus LOB allocation impacts, Lease Buyout/Sublet scenarios, Branch lease renewal analysis, Branch initiative investment analysis (FRB, Rural, Companion Conversion, Community Branches, etc.).

  • Collaborate with partners on real estate business cases, spend approval requests, and Agile tech prioritization. Actively participating in weekly branch real estate business reviews.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the branch real estate business and financial principles to enable and assess channel performance as well as make recommendations.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or an applicable discipline

  • Minimum of 6+ years of successful finance and/or analytical experience

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial principles and ability to link results to activities including proven analytical, modeling and performance reporting skills

  • Keen business acumen and the ability to tell the compelling story from the information

  • Exceptional personal management, organizational, and problem solving skills; ability to manage multiple (and changing) project deliverables at same time and build effective partnerships

  • Strong team leader and change agent; passionate about partnering with CAO leadership to influence the business and advise up to and including at the Managing Director level

  • Outstanding written and verbal communications and ability to tailor message and style to different constituencies (e.g. Finance, Executive Management, Ops)

  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, SAP, and Essbase.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • MBA a plus

  • Retail Financial Services experience

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial principles and ability to link results to activities including proven analytical, modeling and performance reporting skills

  • Knowledge of Macros is a plus.

Candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, Ohio office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined by direct management.
