JPMorgan Chase Financial Analysis Senior Associate - Planning & Analysis in Columbus, Ohio

We're seeking a highly motivated individual to join our high performing Banking and Wealth Management planning and analysis team, directly supporting the Consumer Bank CFO. The planning and analysis team is responsible for managing traditional finance work streams (earnings call, investor day, budgeting, business reviews) and supporting and advising senior leadership in decision making by regularly providing concise analysis and perspective.

As a Financial Analysis, Senior Associate on the planning and analysis team, you will have the opportunity to partner with other highly motivated team members across the Banking and Wealth Management organization to curate materials for external reporting forums (i.e. Earnings Call, Investor Day), advise senior leadership decision making with ad hoc presentations and analysis, and help to guide the overall trajectory of the business by using a data-driven approach to inform strategic direction. This role offers high visibility across the Banking and Wealth Management organization and direct exposure to the Consumer Bank Chief Financial Officer, as well as the opportunity to work with a wide array of stakeholders and senior business leads across the Consumer and Community Bank.

Job responsibilities

  • Distill and refine financial storytelling by drilling below surface level to identify key drivers of business trends

  • Curate materials for leadership business reviews and external forums (i.e. Earnings Call, Investor Day and industry conferences)

  • Create ad-hoc analytics and presentations for senior management (i.e. Leadership Offsite, competitor analysis)

  • Develop excel tools to project and evaluate long-term financial trajectory for the Banking & Wealth Management business

  • Assist in the budget development and review process

  • Drive change by introducing alternative reporting solutions including defining dashboard requirements, automation of tasks, etc.

  • Enhance consistency and efficiency across existing processes and reporting to meet evolving business needs

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or finance type function

  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and keen attention to detail

  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to drive change across a large, complex organization

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to distill large quantities of information (both data and qualitative content) into key takeaways

  • Self-starter willing to take initiative and drive results

  • Exercises sound judgment and observes the highest degree of confidentiality

  • Ability to communicate and present to partners and senior leaders (both oral and written)

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase helpful, but not required

  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools is an advantage (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau)

  • Experience in a planning and analysis function helpful, but not required

Candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, OH or Wilmington, DE office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
