Videojet Technologies is the global leader in printing solutions to help customers ensure product safety and improve their productivity by printing detailed information, such as expiration dates or batch information, on everyday products they make.

As a Field Service Engineer, you are the eyes and ears of Videojet when providing service and support through customer interactions.

We are a close-knit team across many locations. With an office-based technical support team, our Field Service Engineers are never ‘on their own’.

The position involves travel to northern Ohio and northeast Indiana from Monday to Friday, with no overnight travel required.

Within your role, you will:

  • Provide ongoing care and support for our customer's equipment.

  • Install our products and solutions at customer locations.

  • Diagnose and resolve challenges and problems.

  • Become a trusted advisor and partner for our customers, to develop excellent relationships.

  • Extend our Videojet footprint in the market by promoting our service agreements and newer technology.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Problem-solving using available resources and creative solutions to resolve customer issues and will know when to ask for help.

  • Partner with customers to assess their needs, manage their expectations, and drive results.

  • Proactively listen to customers, anticipate their needs, follow through, and work towards a mutually agreeable solution.

  • Collaborate with teammates, managers, and customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel (initial training requires consecutive weeks in Wood Dale, including weekends).

  • Important: This opening will require extensive travel between northern Ohio and northeast Indiana mainly.

  • Up to two years of technical experience.

  • Basic computer/technical skills (can use email, software, phone apps, Microsoft Word).

  • Compliance with PPE, safety, and registration requirements of customers.

  • Ability to perform and/or tolerate all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation, including but not limited to:

  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

  • Twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, walking and kneeling.

  • Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.

  • Use of hand tools and manual dexterity.

  • Exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing environments

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $28.00 - $30.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
