Columbus Assembly of God Director of Music Ministry in Columbus, Ohio
Coordinate musical rehearsals and performances. Determine presentation subjects or content. Play piano/keyboard, guitar, and drums. Choose songs and play selected music catalogs during church service that motivates and inspires members to become faithful followers. Arrange music and charts for the band and worship team. Audition and select performers for musical presentations. Encourage and recruit members of all ages to offer their musical gifts in the service of Christ and the church. Meet with potential donors and attend fundraisers. Possess an ability to lead, conduct and teach music. Possess knowledge of hymns and other church music, and the ability to perform each one appropriately. Engage in the body of the church as an active member by joining a Bible study group, seeking to make connections with members beyond the worship stage, and supporting the vision, mission, and pastors of the church. Clear testimony of a life that has trusted in and is walking with Jesus Christ. A heart to lead people in worship and not just lead a worship service. Agrees with our church's beliefs and doctrines. Job requirements: High School + 2 years of experience in the position. In lieu of the required experience, the employer accepts 2 years of experience leading a church music program.
