Job Summary
The Communications Intern will experience the day-to-day activities for supporting our corporate marketing team located in Columbus, Ohio. The intern will have an opportunity to see digital marketing, web content, marketing, email marketing, communications, and creative tactics being created for our 17 markets. The intern will also participate in weekly department meetings and internship led training sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with scheduling marketing requests including print and digital
Ideate local and national marketing tactics
Assist with creative direction on projects
Assist with national campaigns and campaign launches
Develop onboarding checklists for new hires in various functions
Provide project management assistance for active projects and initiatives as well as support functional area lines of business
Apply your skills and talents to improving processes and workflow
Share ideas, offer suggestions, and make an impact
Gain in-depth knowledge of the homebuying and mortgage process
Requirements
Minimum Education/Qualifications
Ideal candidate is working toward a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, Communications, Design, Business Administration, or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Additional Skills and Abilities
Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
Display excellent written and strong oral communication skills
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Understanding of different marketing techniques
Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
