Biostatistician II - RI CIRP Smith Requisition ID 2024-52401 Category Research Overview Biostatistician II, Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, OH. Manage all statistical aspects of research studies incl asst in developing grant apps & research protocols. Perform complex statistical analyses incl large national datasets. Prepare statistical reports incl tables & figures & write Methods & Results sections of manuscripts. Mentor early career investigators & students & advise on study design & statistical analysis issues. Author statistical analysis plans. Manage data & statistical analyses for multiple research projs. Perform sample size/power calcs. Manage research databases. Prepare datasets for data analyses. Prepare & deliver statistical reports re interim & final study analyses. Contribute to interpretation & publication of research results. Min. req incl: Master's in Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Health (w/Biostatistics major), plus 3 yrs exp managing datasets & conducting complex statistical analyses; 2 yrs exp mentoring early career investigators & students; excellent knowledge of modeling & other advanced statistical techniques; familiarity w/large injury databases, such as NEISS, NPDS, KID & other HCUP databases preferred; & excellent working knowledge of SAS & SPSS.
