Summary of the Housekeeping position:

• Location: Columbus, Nebraska
• Positions: Night shift lead 2:30 - 11 PM and night shift 3:30 PM - midnight
• Pay: $16/hour

Responsibilities of the Housekeeper:

• Follow oral and written instructions to perform housekeeping duties in a healthcare facility.
• Ensure all assigned areas and equipment are properly sanitized and maintained.
• Utilize appropriate chemicals and techniques to uphold cleanliness standards and prevent cross-contamination.
• Perform vacuuming, trash disposal and reporting of mechanical or lighting issues.
• Keep cleaning cart clean, stocked and ready for use.
• Assist in orienting new employees to housekeeping procedures.
• Interact professionally with co-workers, patients and visitors fostering teamwork and providing assistance as needed.
• Undertake project cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing and floor waxing.

Requirements for the Housekeeping position:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to work variable hours including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and on potentially slippery surfaces.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate housekeeping machinery such as vacuums, extractors and buffers.
• Capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
