M1 Support Services LP Program Manager / Director of Maintenance 112481 in Columbus, Mississippi

This is a job for a Program Manager / Director of Maintenance (PM/DOM) position with a company located in the Columbus, MS area. 

Responsibilities: Responsible for the successful cost, schedule, and performance of program contract requirements. Responsible for the successful operation of all aspects of company program operations to include Maintenance, Safety, Quality, HR, IT, Labor Relations, Business Management, and Contracts. Understands both the operational and maintenance issues that have to be defined and managed to ensure accomplishment of mission objectives. Optimizes the use of personnel, equipment, and facilities while maintaining a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to the customers' needs. Interfaces with the Functional Commander, Contracting Officer, internal and external customers, and higher headquarters. Ensures that the contract is executed in a safe and efficient manner acceptable to the Government. Ultimately responsible for complying with the terms of the contract. Continuously interfaces and coordinates with Business, Quality, and Maintenance functions to oversee all aspects of contract execution. Delegates the necessary authority to managers, leads, and mechanics/technicians/specialists for support and production to perform all contract requirements. Provides guidance for workforce management on matters pertaining to employee hiring, termination, transfer, evaluation, training and disciplinary actions.  Responsible for the safety and security of employees and Government facilities, equipment, classified information and material. Attends meetings as required. Directs, plans, coordinates, controls, and evaluates operations and personnel. Supports company business development efforts as needed. Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner. Represent the company in an appropriate professional manner in terms of attire, business courtesies, ethics, and customer culture. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in an associated discipline is required. A Master's Degree in Administration/Business. Management is desirable. Thorough understanding of USAF aircraft maintenance processes required. Program or project management certification is highly desirable. Minimum 20 years of aircraft maintenance leadership/managerial experience equivalent to an Aircraft Maintenance Program Manager, Group or Squadron Commander. Must fully understand quality control procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required. Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel. Must speak, read, write, and understand English. Able to obtain and maintain any security clearance and/or base access as required by the contract. Current valid U.S. driver's license. Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
