J1 Electrical Maintenance Technician

Description:Pay Rate: $38.82/hour

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time - Our maintenance technicians generally work a four day 10-hour scheduleMonday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m with every fourth Friday scheduled as an 8-hour day (7:00am-3:30pm).

The Job You Will Perform: This is a J1 level EandI Technician position responsible for completing scheduled and routine maintenance work along with performing many other duties, both as part of a team and independently. Duties include, but are not restricted to, electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair, conduit and wire installation, lighting repair, PLC troubleshooting and repair, drive troubleshooting and repair, as well as instrumentation / control valve calibration, troubleshooting and repair.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Mustbeatleastage18
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalentwork experiencerequired
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • Three (3) or more years verifiable experience as a J1 Electrical technician
  • Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience
  • Must possess high standards in the areas of safety, quality, ethics, crafts anship, customer focus, and leadership skills.
  • Skilled in maintenance and troubleshooting of Electrical related equipment and process problems
  • Knowledge of key operating areas, PLCs AC and DC drives, analog and digital field instrumentation, and DCS equipment..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two year Associate Degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines (Instrumentation or Electrical).
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong math/physics understanding
  • Prior experience as a multi-skilled Electrical/Instrumentation Technician
