Valley Rescue Mission Men's Transitional Living Program Assistant in Columbus, Georgia
Job Summary: The TLP Program assistant ministers to the Valley Rescue Missions (VRM) clients by offering emotional and spiritual support to men seeking assistance for housing and job attainment. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the supervision of program participants in conjunction with, or in the absence of Mens Center Program Supervisor. Duties/Responsibilities: **
- Assists with coordinating and directing program activities and provide training and instruction for program clients.
- Assists with coordinating and directing activities of volunteers.
- Assists with promoting, communicating and initiating policies, rules and regulations of the TLP.
- Assists with maintaining case notes on each program client.
- Assists with events and activities sponsored by or for the benefit of VRM. Must be able to attend evening and weekend activities.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have a committed personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrate appropriate behaviors and character traits of a Christian and belong to a Christian body of believers.
- Agrees with and can sign the Valley Rescue Missions statements of Christian faith and be able to share that faith and knowledge with staff and clients.
- Requires good organizational skills, computer skills and office skills.

``` - Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Must be able to communicate effectively and interact positively with VRM clients, staff, visitors, vendors, donors and other guests.

Education and Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred.
