The ISSA Logistics Coordinator, under the supervision of the supervisor, has the responsibility of solving any problems regarding logistical matters within the ISSA and disposing of Government Furnished and Contractor Acquired Material. The Logistic Coordinator function in GCSS–Army, is used to process, verify procure materiel and resources to support the mission of supply support activities (SSAs) and customer units, has been reengineered to facilitate decision making in lieu of data gathering. The Logistics Coordinator will continually have contact with G-4 and G-8 for Release Strategy reporting and DODAAC Coordination’s for the installation.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator must have knowledge of operational policies, procedures, and logistics goals.
Process the Release Strategy for purchase orders within the realms under one of the release strategies checks: Context Only, Controlled Material, Dollar Limit, Quantity Limit, AAC Codes, CIIC Codes, RICC Codes, and ARC Codes.
Submit Supply Discrepancy Report (SDR) for damage, mis-shipped and or incorrect items and receive feedback.
Oversee coordination for units ordering and receiving Flags and Guidons for the Installation.
Reviews requirements stopped by a release strategy hold code in Workflow and determine whether to release or reject the requirement based on the research while contacting units for verification on items that violate the Quantity Limit set forth by GCSS-Army.
Oversee the process and pull ORILS for the Wave One customer on the Installation, review the ORIL removal letter before sending to LRC (Logistics Readiness Center) and then passed to ASC for final processing.
Assist and oversee request disposition instructions from the Item Managers on parts and equipment that has been turned into the
Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DoDAAC) Coordinator utilizing the Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-Army) and Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIPS) to (request, delete, change and realign) the 800 plus DoDAACs supported by the Installation Supply Support Activity (ISSA).
Reviews all authorized documents daily and inspects completed transactions/work for accuracy and compliance with established policy and procedures.
Maintain the Historical receipts for the units that are supported by the ISSA (Issue, Turn-in, Sensitive Items, Central Receiving Point, Hazardous Material, and Reclamation
Maintain historical receipts for the Installation to G-8 for Audit purposes.
Process year End Close-out w/ G-8 at the end of each Fiscal Year
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. 50 lbs. assisted.
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas.
Must be able to walk on uneven ground and within work various sites and withstand prolonged periods of standing for 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties.
Work requires continuous walking, standing and sitting.
Working Environment:
Must be able to operate in a warehouse and outdoor type environment.
There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
Duties may involve the conduct of work in the out of outdoors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
Must be able to work in fast paced office environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education / Certifications:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Must be able to pass a pre- employment drug screen
Valid State Driver's License without restrictions.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience:
Related Military experience in Supply and Logistics.
Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
Must have technical experience and comprehensive knowledge of Government regulations, policies, procedures and supervisor role.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.
Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.
Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
Skills & Technology Used:
GCSS-Army and DLA Program experience is desired.
