McEntire Produce Inc Yard Driver in Columbia, South Carolina
Salary: $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
Hours: Sunday - Friday
10:00PM - 6:00AM
Objective:The Yard Driver is responsible for moving tractor trailer to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas. Assure all trailers are properly staged in shipping and receiving door.
Safety Requirements:Trailer Spotter training will be required upon hire.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect trailers and perform yard checks
- Fuel reefer trailers
- Perform trailer sanitation on all trailers
- Pre-stage route ready trailers for shipping
- Make sure all trailers are running properly (cooling off)
- Assure all steps and procedures are properly followed in our Trailer staging SOP
- Work closely with shipping and trucking maintenance
- Report to our VP of Transportation and veteran yard driver when issues arise
- Power wash and sanitize trailers per our SOP standards
