Acxiom Senior Technical Project Manager (Remote) in Columbia, South Carolina
Acxiom Implementation Services team helps marketers enable extraordinary customer experiences by breaking down data silos and solving for a complete customer view across digital and offline channels.

Work with Acxiom customers, Acxiom Products and services, IT, Cloud, Delivery and Technology organizations to own and drive multiple sophisticated implementation projects and programs with high quality and excellent customer satisfaction.

What you will do:
• Responsible for overall program/project management of concurrent large complex
project implementations across different industries.
• Successfully lead a strategic enterprise-wide project with multi-functional, cross[1]organizational teams and/or outside vendors.
• Adhere project management overall rigor (Methodology, Driving the project,
Ownership, best practices, leadership, Managing expectations, Communication etc.) on
your respective projects.
• Responsible for project completion within determined scope, quality, time and cost
constraints and create necessary project plans, schedules and timelines.
• Manage and lead project teams remotely spreading across multiple time zones.
• Brings prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous
situations. Provides knowledge sharing to other associates within the team.
• In-depth understanding of project management principles and the application thereof.
• Recognized as an authority in project management and solution delivery methodologies
and follow the project management rigor.
• Develops project schedules, timeline and works with shared resource model. Works
with key partners (e.g., executives, clients, stakeholders, partners, vendors) to
collaborate and own the project implementation to satisfy clients’ business, fiscal,
functional objectives and communicate effectively.
• Independently and successfully leads the development and execution of multiple
moderately complex, multi phased projects. Concurrently leads more than one
moderately complex, multiple phased projects with cross-functional, cross[1]organizational teams and/or outside vendors.
• Leads work estimations and timelines of high-level, high-impact, and high-cost client
projects. Presents and sells project and resource work estimations to senior
management. Serves as subject-matter authority in project budgeting, estimates, and
control. Consistently meets the defined OKRs and release date objectives of complex
projects.
• Prepares weekly status reports (internal and external), track the progress, follow-up and
communicate during various project implementation status calls.
• Confirmed strong risk management as a primary management habit. Validated effective
change control and management skills. Leads risk planning, analysis, response and
control on a scheduled basis across all phases and projects.
• Recognizes and documents process improvement opportunities. Responsible for
ensuring all project close out activities are completed and documented.
• Holding clients, internal stakeholders, resource managers and team members
accountable including ourselves and follow clean escalation process.
Do you have the minimum requirements?
• Bachelor’s degree
• Active PMP certification
• Minimum of 5 + years of project management experience in managing complex projects
• Solid experience in using tools like MS Project, MS Office and collaboration tools like
JIRA, Confluence, WorkDay, Slack and SharePoint
• Ability to work across teams, both internally and externally, and to influence project
partners at all levels.
• Experience in leading large project teams and high visibility complex projects
• Solid ability to drive the project to completion and shows tenacity for getting things
done.
• Experience using Waterfall, Agile-based and Hybrid methodologies within a solution
development function.
• Demonstrated ability using methodologies of project management including PMI
standards, as well as industry level standard methodologies.
• Authority in communication, issue and change management.
• Self-directed learning and continuous improvement as well as Build knowledge and
desire to learn.
• Lead from the front, taking ownership, strong initiative and be proactive.
• Key contributions in other process improvement areas and Provide contributions that
should be felt.
• Make sure to pull your own weight and provide the value to the project by following the
established PM rigor, follow through and close the loops.
• Understanding the project constraints, risks, issues and factors that is being managed.
• Understanding the moving parts within the solution
• Understanding the responsibilities and accountability
• Build rapport with the internal teams as well as with client stakeholders and build a
coalition.
• Ability to manage more than one project at a time.
• Ability to work through all the project and work management tools effectively.
• Provide necessary backup/coverage to PMs on the same project and/or other projects.
What will set you apart:
• Master's degree
• CSM or equivalent Scrum certifications
• Project management implementation of application software (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe,
Unica, DataMart, Campaign management applications, Oracle, Analytics, Data
warehouses, CDP, CleanRoom and digital marketing applications)
• Project management experience with packaged software or custom development
implementations in a consulting or an enterprise organization
• Business and Solution Domain expertise in implementing marketing, analytics, data[1]warehouse and software applications from one of the industries among Media, Retail,
Finance, Insurance, Banking, Travel, High Tech and Automotive industries.
• Ability to learn technical concepts of the digital marketing eco systems market and able
to articulate the core benefits of these solutions to clients and partners.
• Ability to conduct and lead project workshops on strategy and road mapping and build
the resulting implementation plans with clients.
• AWS or any other equivalent cloud-based technology project management experience
• Experience in managing BI tools integration (e.g., Tableau, Business Objects)
• Experience in managing projects with larger teams.
• Additional experience in managing IT server upgrades/tech refresh projects
