Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Engineering team is responsible for establishing equipment maintenance procedures and solving technical problems related to manufacturing equipment as well as executing process improvement efforts. You will engage in the repair and improvement of manufacturing and facilities equipment and processes. This role involves troubleshooting manufacturing and building system problems, organizing and completing repairs, and assisting Maintenance Technicians on complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and building system problems and organize or complete repairs.

  • Assist Maintenance Technicians with complex troubleshooting issues.

  • Determine root cause of failures and develop processes or strategies to prevent reoccurring failures.

  • Develop preventative maintenance procedures to help prevent equipment downtime.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts.

  • Lead reliability efforts by analyzing data and driving long-term solutions and processes.

  • Advise supervisor of needs for outside services and work with service representatives on equipment.

  • Plan and lead projects and execute assignments.

  • Support production team with equipment support and/or training.

  • Work with vendors to locate and order parts and materials required for repairing equipment.

  • Communicate effectively with internal customers regarding the status of equipment in the building.

  • Interact with employees in all functions at all levels in the organization.

  • Use a variety of lock-out/tag-out devices as required per plant LOTO Plan.

  • Work in parallel with other Engineers inside and outside of the Maintenance Department.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working with various manufacturing and facilities equipment. You will use a variety of tools and technologies, including electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, and power tools. The role may require wearing appropriate safety gear and following lock-out/tag-out procedures. Collaboration with employees across all functions and levels within the organization is essential.
