Job Title: Technician, Accounting III
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Technician, Accounting III, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations. Located in a vibrant office environment, this full-time position offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of clerical and accounting functions, including inventory balancing, reconciliations, and processing disbursements. Job Specifications:
Job Type: Full-time
Contract: 3 month contract
Location: Columbia SC
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform routine to complex clerical/accounting functions, including inventory balancing and reconciliations.
Generate refund request letters and process disbursements and deposits.
Key journal entries and log items in accordance with standard procedures.
Prepare in-depth financial data related to refunds, invoices, and cash disbursements.
Conduct moderately difficult to complex research to identify errors in financial reporting.
Ensure accuracy in financial document calculations related to bank deposits and receipts.
Support the accounting/finance function by monitoring financial systems and balancing accounts.
Assist less experienced accounting clerks as needed.
Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding billing and collections.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience supporting accounting or financial operations is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent customer service abilities.
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong business math skills.
